What to expect from start to finish
FLOOR COATING PROCESS
LB Epoxy Flooring uses the highest standards in the preparation and application of these coatings, so that it will last for years to come. To explain the process, we use commercial grade machines to prep the floor. This entails a shot blaster that shoots tiny steel beads into the floor, giving it an etched surface that allows the coatings to not only bond, but the epoxy is able to absorb into the concrete. We also grind the edges, and then seal any cracks and saw cuts in the floor with crack filler. We then coat the floor and add hundreds of pounds of flakes to the floor so that it sticks and fills in evenly and thoroughly. From here, the process and products change between each of our finishes. For example, for the Premium flake finish, we add two coats of high quality commercial grade products on top. First an epoxy coating, and then a top polyurethane clear coat on top of that, to give it a semi smooth, durable, beautiful finish.
Our price per sq. footage varies depending on the size and shape the floor is in & what type of coating you'd like: a flake blend, a metallic, or a solid coloured epoxy. It is best to allow us to come by and measure your floor, assess the space, and have us give you a quote based on your specific vision.
