Can my garage be coated in the winter months?
Yes this isn’t a problem. We usually end the floor about an inch inside the garage door so weather isn’t an issue and even if your garage isn’t heated. We supply heaters to help the epoxy cure.

Where do I put all the stuff in my garage while you're coating it?
We have found that temporarily renting a storage container delivered to your driveway for the duration of the install to be very convenient. We recommend Big Steel Box as your service provider.

Is it slippery?
Like any other floor when wet, its best to use caution. As you start using your new floor, it will become more traction accommodating. If it is a concern we can add a traction additive (silica) to the final coat. Be aware that this does change the floors cosmetic appearance though.

What are the different finishes available?
Solid coloured Epoxy
Solid color epoxy which is generally used for commercial or industrial jobs but can also be used in garages. There are many colors to pick from. It’s durable but doesn’t quite have the incredible look and scratch resistance of our other finishes. A clear coat can be added for an extra cost but we would rather sell you a flake floor because it’s the best dollar value. Flake floors include a clear coat, and with the added flake layer, it’s about twice as thick as the solid color floor.
Flake Finish
Flake floors have been the backbone of LB Epoxy. We install our clear coats much thicker then most competitors. They look incredible, are extremely durable, and show the least amount of scratches. We stock a couple of different blends of colors, most common being our smoke finish, which is a combination of black, white, and grey. It looks great and is neutral so it will go with almost any wall color. Flake floors are great for garages or even retail businesses, restaurants and more. They can be patched, and if after a few years of abuse they are scratched (if there are no major failures), they can be sanded down and re-cleared, bringing them back to a like new appearance for a fraction of the cost of new.
Metallics
Metallic floors look absolutely incredible. $12/sq.ft for a single color metallic, $12.50/sq.ft for two colors blended, and $14/sq.ft for three colors blended. Wide variety of colors to pick from. They will be the main feature wherever they are used. Great for restaurants, bar, clubs , hair salons, retail businesses, and especially show garages. Not recommended for garages where you will be working on your projects because they do tend to show scratches more then the flakes but be aware metallic floors may take attention away from your prized rides. Like the flake, if there are no failures but floor has surface scratches, it can be sanded and re-cleared to be brought back to a new like appearance.
Warranty
We offer a 3 year adhesion warranty that covers the floor lifting or peeling for any reason other then being damaged. Coatings may be damaged by physically dropping items on them, or by chemicals that can be spilled on them. Also, do not use shine chemicals on your tires like armorall, as there could be a reaction with the epoxy. The epoxy is resilient to most chemicals, but spills should be wiped up as soon as possible. We strongly recommend coating up to garage door - but prefer not to go beyond, as exposure to the elements may cause discoloration and could possibly shorten the life span of your floor. Upon request we will finish past doors to the driveway, but warranty is void if coating begins to fail outside of door line. Warranty does not cover cracks that may result from shifting in the concrete, as it is not a failure in the epoxy, but in the structure it's attached to. Warranty does not cover yellowing which may happen over time due to sun damage. If doors are kept closed this is less likely to happen.

What is the best way to keep it clean or wash it?
The best way to wash your floor is by simply using hot water and a mop & squeegee. Soap can leave a residue, and harsh chemicals may damage your floor. If you need to use something stronger than hot water for a stubborn or heavily soiled area, you may use a mild natural cleaning agent, or ammonia diluted.
